Fun & Education at the Children's Reading Tent
(RUN BY HARARE CITY LIBRARY)

Renowned writer and storyteller Ignatius T Mabasa telling and acting out a Shona tale to pupils


After storytelling, Mabasa asked a few questions and those who answered correctly walked away with Harare City Library prizes

The second session on ICT was mainly attended by high school students. Dorothy Dyer of FunDza Litaracy Trust read a few chapters from one of the teenage books called "Broken Promises" published under the Harmony  High series by Cover2Cover (South Africa).

Mignon Hardie (FunDza) demonstrated how the students can download and read for free the rest of "Broken Promises" and other teen fiction on their cell phones.

Writer Paradzayi Mhonde explaining a certain element of creative writing to students in the afternoon skills building session. Mhonde is the author of Spot-On English
